If we let our worries overpower our faith in God, we do not give the Word of God the opportunity to guide us.
The bigger our worries, the more we need to rely on our faith. If you, or someone you know, is going through a difficult time, take comfort knowing God is with you. Turn to Him in prayer with faith that His Word will bring you true inner peace and the strength to endure.
I command you: be strong and steadfast! Do not fear nor be dismayed, for the LORD, your God, is with you wherever you go.
My chief concern is to try to be a humble, earnest Christian.
As you spend time with God today, ask Him to make you more humble. Then go out and work toward that goal by listening and praising others. Refrain from talking about you, instead, listen to them and reflect on what they are saying. How you can help others should be forefront in your mind.
Do nothing out of selfishness or out of vainglory; rather, humbly regard others as more important than yourselves, each looking out not for his own interests, but [also] everyone for those of others.
Learn to laugh at yourself more freely. Don't take yourself or your circumstances so seriously.
Just as a parent delights in hearing the laughter of their children, so does your heavenly Father. Laughter lightens your load and can lift your heart into heavenly places. Do not miss the joy of Christ's presence by carrying the weight of the world on your shoulders. Instead - Find more opportunities to laugh today!
A joyful heart is the health of the body, but a depressed spirit dries up the bones.
I can't give you a sure-fire formula for success, but I can give you a formula for failure: try to please everybody all the time.
Trying to please those around you is not a bad thing, as long as your actions are also pleasing to God. Seek first to please God. That is your best formula for eternal success.
Am I now currying favor with human beings or God? Or am I seeking to please people? If I were still trying to please people, I would not be a slave of Christ.
Attitude is a choice. Happiness is a choice. Optimism is a choice. Kindness is a choice. Giving is a choice. Respect is a choice. Whatever choice you make makes you. Choose wisely.
Choose to follow in Christ's footsteps. Be positive. Be Happy. Be Optimistic. Be Kind. Be a Cheerful Giver. Be Respectful. You have much to be grateful for. Live your life with that mindset. It will improve your life and the lives of all those around you.
And let the peace of Christ control your hearts, the peace into which you were also called in one body. And be thankful.
