Prayer

Posted on July 31, 2006

THOUGHT:

What if God would not hear us today because we would not listen to Him yesterday?

Challenge

Listen to what your faith is telling you today. Seek out God through prayer and leave ample quiet time to listen. God will tell you in his own way the right path for you to take.

A part of us remains wherever we have been.

Challenge

Make a conscious effort to leave a Christian imprint in everything you do today. It will have a positive ripple effect upon God’s earth.

Verse

Then he said to all, “If anyone wishes to come after me, he must deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me. Forgiveness

THOUGHT:

God has a BIG eraser!

Challenge

If you've made mistakes in your past (and we all have), God will forgive you. All you have to do is ask him with a repentant heart. There's nothing you've done that God doesn't know about for which He has already forgiven others. Take a minute and ask Him to erase your sins with His grace.

Verse

And he said to them, “Thus it is written that the Messiah would suffer and rise from the dead on the third day and that repentance, for the forgiveness of sins, would be preached in his name to all the nations, beginning from Jerusalem.

THOUGHT:

Live simply. Love generously. Care deeply. Speak kindly. Leave the rest to God.

Challenge

Your challenge today is to do just that. Live simply – de-emphasize the material things in your life. Love generously – show more kindness and love to others than you have in the past. Make it a priority. Care deeply – remind your loved ones how much you care about them and love them. Don’t just let that always be assumed. Speak kindly – encourage and praise those around you and mean it. Thank God for showing you His way.

Verse
