THOUGHT:

It is not enough to be good; you need to do good things.

Challenge

Find a simple way to serve the Lord today. Do something good for someone today even though it may be inconvenient or uncomfortable for you. When the person says “thank you”, simply say “God bless you.” Their reaction may surprise you.

THOUGHT:

A stitch in time saves nine!

Challenge

Make a commitment to yourself and God today to find opportunities to be an example of His love.

Conversion of Sinners. My brothers, if anyone among you should stray from the truth and someone bring him back, he should know that whoever brings back a sinner from the error of his way will save his soul from death and will cover a multitude of sins.

Compassion

Posted on September 19, 2007

THOUGHT:

I would rather feel compassion than know the meaning of it.

Challenge

We know that compassion means to feel for someone who is hurting beyond just sympathy. To truly feel compassion, we need to connect with others on a deeper level. Think of someone who is hurting. Go to them and get to know them and their problem. Offer them compassion – not just sympathy.

Verse

Thanksgiving. Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and God of all encouragement, who encourages us in our every affliction, so that we may be able to encourage those who are in any affliction with the encouragement with which we ourselves are encouraged by God.

THOUGHT:

Thoughts about time: 1 of 5 - Being rich is having money; being wealthy is having time.

Challenge

There is nothing wrong with money and material possessions, but the tragedy is spending all your time accumulating them and not enjoying them or using them to help others. Take time today to take a hard look at how you're spending your time each day. Ask for God's help to get things back into a healthy balance.

Verse

For the love of money is the root of all evils, and some people in their desire for it have strayed from the faith and have pierced themselves with many pains. Exhortations to Timothy.
