Kindness – Daily TAGline

Thought:

Kindness often consists in loving people more than they deserve.

Challenge:

Always be kind to others, regardless of what you think they deserve. God put us on earth to serve one another, not to judge one another.

Reference:

Make sure that nobody pays back wrong for wrong, but always try to be kind to each other and to everyone else. 1 Thessalonians 5:15 (NABRE)

Service – Daily TAGline

Thought:

Great opportunities to help others seldom come, but small ones surround us daily.

Challenge:

Don’t wait for a great opportunity to help someone. Take advantage of all the small opportunities you have today. Each one has the potential to have great results.

Reference:

But you say that if a man says to his father or mother, ‘Whatever help you might otherwise have received from me is a gift devoted to God,’ Matthew 15:5 (NABRE)

Discipleship – Daily TAGline

Thought:

You can’t live a perfect day without doing something for someone who will never be able to repay you.

Challenge:

Doing something for someone who will never be able to repay you is somewhat contrary in today’s culture, but it is very consistent with God’s teaching. Strive to live a perfect day.

Reference:

The next day he took out two silver coins and gave them to the innkeeper. ‘Look after him,’ he said, ‘and when I return, I will reimburse you for any extra expense you may have.’ “Which of these three do you think was a neighbor to the man who fell into the hands of robbers?” Luke 10:35-36 (NABRE)

Comfort – Daily TAGline

Thought:

Every blade of grass has its own Angel that bends over it and whispers, “Grow, Grow”

Challenge:

Sometimes it is easy to get lost in the crowd and feel your life is not significant. Just as God is concerned with the growth of each blade of glass, allow your heart to be filled with the joy of knowing that God loves you and has a specific plan just for you.

Reference:

Are not five sparrows sold for two pennies? Yet not one of them is forgotten by God. Indeed, the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Don’t be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows. “I tell you, whoever acknowledges me before men, the Son of Man will also acknowledge him before the angels of God Luke 12:6-8 (NABRE)

Attitude – Daily TAGline

Thought:

Look at a day when you are supremely satisfied at the end. It’s not a day when you lounge around doing nothing; it’s when you’ve had everything to do, and you’ve done it.

Challenge:

God wants well accomplished sheep in His flock. Remember to be all that you can be today and every day – you will find an inner peace and satisfaction knowing you have accomplished your best.

Reference:

LORD, you establish peace for us; all that we have accomplished you have done for us. Isaiah 26:12 (NABRE)

Courage – Daily TAGline

Thought:

You can clutch the past so tightly to your chest that it leaves your arms too full to embrace the present.

Challenge:

Ask God for the courage to focus less on “the way things used to be”, and to find ways to live more fully today and to look forward to tomorrow.

Reference:

When times are good, be happy; but when times are bad, consider: God has made the one as well as the other. Therefore, a man cannot discover anything about his future. Ecclesiastes 7:14 (NABRE)

Discipleship – Daily TAGline

Thought:

Policemen’s motto: “To Protect and to Serve.”

Challenge:

We as Christians are like God’s policemen here on earth. PROTECT your faith by defending it. SERVE the Lord in everything you do.

Reference:

It is the LORD your God you must follow, and him you must revere. Keep his commands and obey him; serve him and hold fast to him. Deuteronomy 13:4 (NABRE)

Priorities – Daily TAGline

Thought:

We don’t see things as they are, we see them as we are.

Challenge:

Reflect on your lifestyle for a minute. If you can’t invite Christ to hang out with you tonight, then maybe you should reconsider your plans.

Reference:

But may all who seek you rejoice and be glad in you; may those who love your salvation always say, “The LORD be exalted!” Psalm 40:16 (NABRE)

Kindness – Daily TAGline

Thought:

Constant kindness can accomplish much. As the sun makes ice melt, kindness causes misunderstanding, mistrust, and hostility to evaporate.

Challenge:

Make kindness a daily habit. The benefits might not be immediately realized, but over time, will break down barriers.

Reference:

Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you. Ephesians 4:32 (NABRE)

Service – Daily TAGline

Thought:

Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring, all of which have the potential to turn a life around.

Challenge:

Don’t underestimate the impact you have on those around you. Make the extra effort today, no matter how small, to do something positive for someone. A little good goes a long way.

Reference:

Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others, faithfully administering God’s grace in its various forms. 1 Peter 4:10 (NABRE)
