THOUGHT:

There are no limits on what you can achieve with your life, except the limits you accept in your own mind.

Challenge

God places no limits on what you can achieve - why do you? Think big, dream big and achieve big! With God all things are possible.

Verse

Jesus looked at them and said, “For human beings this is impossible, but for God all things are possible.”

THOUGHT:

Jesus loves me this I know, for the Bible tells me so, little ones to him belong, they are weak but He is strong.

Challenge

Little or big, weak or strong, we all need the love of Christ in our lives. To find His love, we simply need to look to the Bible. Pick yours up today and read one of the many passages that express to us Christ’s love.

Verse

Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.

THOUGHT:

Amazing grace! How sweet the sound, that saved a wretch like me! I once was lost, but now am found was blind, but now I see.

Challenge

As Christians, we should have a new vision of the world. Instead of being blind, look around for children of God in need of your help. Let someone in need find God in you.

Verse

He replied, “If he is a sinner, I do not know. One thing I do know is that I was blind and now I see.”

THOUGHT:

Mercy for me - justice for everyone else: Our human reaction to the “unfairness” of God.

Challenge

Yes, it does seem unfair that God loves everyone, even the “worst” of sinners, but he asks us to do the same. The next time you feel the need to judge someone for some wrong you feel they have committed, have a heart like Jesus. Extend your love to them and thank God that He does the same with you.

Verse

And if anyone hears my words and does not observe them, I do not condemn him, for I did not come to condemn the world but to save the world.

THOUGHT:

What do I own, and what owns me?

Challenge

In today's uncertain financial time, take a few minutes and think about what you have been worrying about in the past few weeks. Was it people, or was it "things"? Don't let the "things" you own create anxiety within you. Focus today on building more equity in the relationships that have value in your life.

Verse

Treasure in Heaven. “Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and decay destroy, and thieves break in and steal. But store up treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor decay destroys, nor thieves break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there also will your heart be. The Light of the Body.

Character

Posted on September 23, 2009

THOUGHT:

People of character do the right thing, not because they think it will change the world but because they refuse to be changed by the world.

Challenge

We are constantly exposed to negative influences in today's world but we do not have to be changed by them. Turn to God for the strength to resist worldly temptations whenever they arise.

Verse

Now who is going to harm you if you are enthusiastic for what is good? But even if you should suffer because of righteousness, blessed are you. Do not be afraid or terrified with fear of them, but sanctify Christ as Lord in your hearts. Always be ready to give an explanation to anyone who asks you for a reason for your hope,

Praise

Posted on September 21, 2009

THOUGHT:

It is impossible to praise or thank God too much.

Challenge

When you thank God for the many pleasures He provides, you affirm Him as your Lord from whom all blessings flow. When adversity strikes and you thank Him anyway, you show that you trust in His sovereignty. Fill up the spare moments of your life today with praise and thanksgiving.

THOUGHT:

About Money: 5 of 5 - With money you can buy blood, but not life.

Challenge

Your life is a gift from God and it is not measured by the number of breaths you take, rather by the number of moments that take your breath away. Ask God for the courage to get your heart pumping today by doing something exciting, rewarding, memorable and honorable to Him.

Verse

Let your life be free from love of money but be content with what you have, for he has said, “I will never forsake you or abandon you.”
