Faith – Daily TAGline

Thought:

What’s meant to be will always find a way.

Challenge:

Have faith that God will show you the way of His plan each and every day. Take some quiet time to listen to what God meant for you and you’ll find your days are filled with His ways.

Reference:

But the plans of the Lord stand firm forever, the purposes of his heart through all generations. Psalm 33:11 (NABRE)

Priorities – Daily TAGline

Thought:

The primitive confession that “Jesus is Lord” is not an abstract theological proposition, but a highly personal statement.

Challenge:

Challenge yourself to rethink all of your priorities – personal and professional – with the personal awareness that Jesus is Lord.  Observe how it transforms your point of view about what really matters.

Reference:

If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. Romans 10:9 (NABRE)

Encouragement – Daily TAGline

Thought:

Just when you think it can’t get any worse, it can. And just when you think it can’t get any better, it can.

Challenge:

Be strong in your trials. God has a plan for you and things will get better. That is the great thing about His love for us – it is always better than we can ever expect.

Reference:

Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love him. James 1:12 (NABRE)

Service – Daily TAGline

Thought:

It is not the years in your life that count, it’s the life in your years.

Challenge:

Live life to its fullest. If you aren’t doing it now, start today. Think in the way many early philosophers did in trying to discover the meaning of life: one cannot truly be happy unless they are helping others.

Reference:

This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers and sisters. 1 John 3:16 (NABRE)

Peace – Daily TAGline

Thought:

“God can’t give us peace and happiness apart from Himself because there is no such thing.”

Challenge:

Are you wasting time looking for happiness in all the wrong places? Stop searching for joy in money, possessions, people and earthly status. Instead, seek the peace and joy that only God can deliver – that which comes from a closer relationship with his Son.

Reference:

May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. Romans 15:13 (NABRE)

Integrity – Daily TAGline

Thought:

A half truth is a whole lie.

Challenge:

Challenge yourself to give the entire truth and leave nothing out. While it may not always be the easy way it is the only right way. Ask for God’s assistance in giving you the strength and perseverance to follow faithfully the path of the truth.

Reference:

keep your tongue from evil and your lips from telling lies. Psalm 34:13 (NABRE)

Wisdom – Daily TAGline

Thought:

Maturity is achieved when a person postpones immediate pleasures for long-term values.

Challenge:

Stop and take inventory of your values the next time you are making a choice of short term pleasure. Ask yourself a few simple questions: Would God be pleased with the choice you are making? Could this short term pleasure lead to sin? Now listen to your God given values and make the right choice.

Reference:

Therefore let us move beyond the elementary teachings about Christ and be taken forward to maturity, not laying again the foundation of repentance from acts that lead to death, and of faith in God, Hebrew 6:1 (NABRE)

Patience – Daily TAGline

Thought:

Have patience with all things, starting with yourself.

Challenge:

This can be a tough one, and you’ll most likely need help. Take a moment to reflect on your patience with yourself. Ask God to strengthen you and give you peace as you grow closer to Him. He is omnipotent and through His peace he can guide you to not only have patience with others but with yourself too.

Reference:

A person’s wisdom yields patience; it is to one’s glory to overlook an offense. Proverbs 19:11 (NABRE)

Character – Daily TAGline

Thought:

Only in God’s Kingdom does surrender mean freedom.

Challenge:

Each day, you face decisions to speak or act in ways that will be pleasing to God – or not. Don’t allow yourself to be a prisoner to your poor decisions. Today and every day, make the decision to surrender your life to Christ so that you may live in freedom.

Reference:

In the same way, count yourselves dead to sin but alive to God in Christ Jesus. Romans 6:11 (NABRE)

Character – Daily TAGline

Thought:

Being trustworthy is a building block to creating the kind of self that you will be happy to live with all your life.

Challenge:

Take inventory of those you really trust in life – those to whom you would trust your life. Identify characteristics that you admire and begin to incorporate them into your daily life.

Reference:

Teach me knowledge and good judgment, for I trust your commands. Psalm 119:66 (NABRE)
