Evangelism – Daily TAGline

Thought:

Be better to your neighbors and you will have better neighbors.

Challenge:

Make an effort to reach out to your neighbors with friendship and compassion. Show them through your actions your Christian kindness. Pray to God that they pass on your example to their neighbors. You’ve just begun making the world a better place.

Reference:

Jesus replied, ” ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul. Love him with all your mind.’ This is the first and most important commandment. And the second is like it. ‘Love your neighbor as you love yourself.’ Everything that is written in the Law and the Prophets is based on these two commandments.” Matthew 20:37-40 (NABRE)

Attitude – Daily TAGline

Thought:

The happiness of your life depends on the quality of your thoughts.

Challenge:

Each day you are in complete control of your thoughts. Ask God’s help in developing a positive and optimistic outlook. You can not always control life’s obstacles, but you can control your response.

Therefore let us stop passing judgment on one another. Instead, make up your mind not to put any stumbling block or obstacle in your brother’s way. Romans 14:13 (NABRE)

Priorities – Daily TAGline

EGO is an acronym for Edging God out.

Write EGO somewhere on your desk. Each time you look at it, remember that if you focus on yourself, God isn’t where He belongs.

Service – Daily TAGline

Thought:

It is not enough to be good; you need to do good things.

Challenge:

Find a simple way to serve the Lord today. Do something good for someone today even though it may be inconvenient or uncomfortable for you. When the person says “thank you”, simply say “God bless you.” Their reaction may surprise you.

Reference:

And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love. 1 Corinthians 13:13 (NABRE)

Prayer – Daily TAGline

Thought:

There come times when I have nothing more to tell God. If I were to continue to pray in words, I would have to repeat what I have already said. At such times it is wonderful to say to God, “May I be in Your presence, Lord? I have nothing more to say to You, but I do love to be in Your presence.”

Challenge:

Exhaust yourself in prayer today. Then just meditate and listen to the comforting presence of God your savior.

Reference:

“So now I charge you in the sight of all Israel and of the assembly of the Lord, and in the hearing of our God: Be careful to follow all the commands of the Lord your God, that you may possess this good land and pass it on as an inheritance to your descendants forever. 1 Chronicles 28:8 (NABRE)

Guidance – Daily TAGline

Thought:

Just as a candle cannot burn without fire, men cannot truly live without a spiritual life.

Challenge:

Light up your life by finding ways to enhance your own spirituality.  Start by Thinking About God more often each day and asking for His guidance in all areas of your life.

Reference:

Now may the God of peace himself sanctify you completely, and may your whole spirit and soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. 1 Thessalonians 5:23 (NABRE)

Attitude – Daily TAGline

Thought:

Truly enlightened people never seek to be like others. Rather, they seek to be superior to their former selves.

Challenge:

Strive every day to be a better version of yourself. If you feel compelled to be like someone else, try to imitate Jesus.

Reference:

By their fruit you will recognize them. Do people pick grapes from thornbushes, or figs from thistles? Likewise, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. Matthew 7:16-17 (NABRE)

Priorities – Daily TAGline

Thought:

When all is said and done, the quality of your life will come down to the quality of your contribution.

Challenge:

Your life – Your contribution – Your Choice. What choices can you make today to improve the “quality” of your life?
