Anger

THOUGHT:

Temper is a weapon that we hold by the blade.

Challenge

Ask God to bless you with the strength to keep your temper in check. Silently count to 10 or find a way to temper your reaction in order to avoid the hurt you may render to others (and yourself) with the anger of a double-edged sword.

Prayer

THOUGHT:

To walk with God, we must first make it a practice to talk with God.

Challenge

Most of us make it a practice to talk with God at least once during our day. If this is the case with you, consider adding another regular conversation with God at some other time during your day so you can walk a little closer to Him.

You can clutch the past so tightly to your chest that it leaves your arms too full to embrace the present.

Challenge

Ask God for the courage to focus less on “the way things used to be”, and to find ways to live more fully today and to look forward to tomorrow.

The voyage of discovery is not in seeking new landscapes but in having new eyes.

Challenge

We do not always have the ability to easily change the landscape of our everyday lives, but we do have the ability to change our attitude. Ask God to open your mind in order that your eyes will see things from a new perspective and allow you to approach

Life is not about finding yourself. Life is about creating yourself.

Challenge

Take control of your destiny. Spend more time thinking about the person you want to be, and then ask God for the will to do the things necessary to become the very best version of yourself. What are you waiting for?

Challenge

Truly enlightened people are prepared to put off short-term pleasure for the sake of long-term fulfillment.

Challenge

Eternal Salvation is the ultimate long-term fulfillment. Avoid Satans daily temptations. The long-term reward will be worth it.

Live as if you were to die tomorrow. Learn as if you were to live forever.

Challenge

Don't take any day for granted. Find a way to do something meaningful and memorable with someone you care about today. Make it a habit.

God has given us all the same enemy-defeating weapon that Jesus used to overcome Satan's schemes — His Word.

Challenge

When tempted by evil today, pick up your Bible and study His Word. Satan is no match for the everlasting Word of God.
