Discipleship – Daily TAGline

Thought:

Encouragement, empathy, and praise are three gifts you can give without costing you a penny, yet giving these can make you rich inside.

Challenge:

With Christ as your guide, give encouragement to others, listen and empathize with their situation, and shower them with praise at every chance you get. You’ll be enriching their lives and yours in ways money can’t buy.

May the God who gives endurance and encouragement give you the same attitude of mind toward each other that Christ Jesus had, Roman’s 15:5 (NABRE)

Discipleship – Daily TAGline

Thought:

Goodness is about character – integrity, honesty, kindness, generosity, moral courage, and the like. More than anything else, it is about how we treat other people.

Challenge:

The challenge here is clear – Be good to others today. It’s what God expects of every Christian, it’s what you ought to expect of yourself, and it’s what others should be able to expect from you.

Reference:

Whoever walks in integrity walks securely, but whoever takes crooked paths will be found out. Proverbs 10:9 (NABRE)

Service – Daily TAGline

Thought:

A man who was completely innocent, offered himself as a sacrifice for the good of others, including his enemies, and became the ransom of the world. It was a perfect act. – Mahatma Gandhi

Challenge:

Take a second to imagine how Christ would have felt as he explained His sacrifice to His closest friends. What small act of service can you provide today to those around you as a sign of your appreciation for the love He showed you?

Reference:

“Truly, I say to you, I will not drink again of the fruit of the vine until that day when I drink it new in the kingdom of God.” Mark 14:25 (NABRE)

– Daily TAGline

Thought:

We fear men so much, because we fear God so little.

Challenge:

As one of God’s children, you should not fear what may happen to you at the hands of those in this world, but what you may miss if you don’t follow the one whose hands made this world. Pray for the courage to deal with your worldly fears and to have a healthy fear of the one that controls your future.

Reference:

He said in a loud voice, “Fear God and give him glory, because the hour of his judgment has come. Worship him who made the heavens, the earth, the sea and the springs of water.” Revelation 14:7 (NABRE)

Priorities – Daily TAGline

Thought:

Most people spend more time planning their summer vacations than planning their lives.

Challenge:

There is nothing wrong with being enthusiastic about planning your vacation.  As you reflect on the many blessings in your life today, plan your day with a positive and optimistic spirit.  Let the joy within you make others around you feel like they are on vacation!

May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope. Romans 15:13 (NABRE)

Habits – Daily TAGline

Think About God more often each day. Live a life inspired by God – there is no better quality than Him.

Habits – Daily TAGline

Thought:

Time and health are two precious assets that we don’t recognize and appreciate until they have been depleted.

Challenge:

Take time today to get healthier – in mind and spirit.  We all have said many times, “Where does the time go?”  It goes beyond our control just like your health if you don’t pay attention to it.  Eat well, exercise and think positive thoughts. Begin by Thinking About God.

Reference:

Beloved, I pray that all may go well with you and that you may be in good health, as it goes well with your soul. 3 John 1:2 (NABRE)

Priorities – Daily TAGline

Thought:

It is our responsibilities, not ourselves, that we should take seriously.

Challenge:

God expects you to do His work while here on earth; it is your responsibility as a faithful Christian. Pray that you will be responsible with the gifts God gave you by sharing them with others.

Reference:

We also assume responsibility for bringing to the house of the Lord each year the firstfruits of our crops and of every fruit tree. Nehemiah 10:35 (NABRE)

Love – Daily TAGline

Thought:

Behold, my friends, the spring is come; the earth has gladly received the embraces of the sun, and we shall soon see the results of its love!

Challenge:

Spring is a time of beauty, of rebirth, of love. Show everyone around you the warmth of your love of your fellow man in your actions throughout the day and each day this Spring. Then keep the radiance of your love through Summer, Fall, and Winter.

Reference:

He saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. He saved us through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit, Titus 3:5 (NABRE)

– Daily TAGline

Thought:

There is a bright side to the darkest circumstance – if you have the courage to look for it.

Challenge:

God provides light when life is darkest. Have the courage and wisdom to seek out God when life is challenging. He wants to walk by your side.

And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose. Romans 8:28 (NABRE)
