Prayer

Posted on July 31, 2015

THOUGHT:

We tend to worry most over things we have no control over.

Challenge

Take something that is worrying you today, especially something you have no control over, and give it up to God in prayer. Focus your emotions on those things you can control – loving your family, caring for your friends, doing your best in your vocation.

Encouragement

Posted on July 24, 2015

THOUGHT:

Since you get more joy out of giving joy to others, you should put a good deal of thought into the happiness that you are able to give.

Although we have all felt the joy of making someone you love happy, we still spend most of our time seeking ways to get the things we want. Ask God to help you today to focus your attention away from yourself and on making someone else feel good. Think about it!
