Joy

THOUGHT:

If you compare yourself with others, you may become vain and bitter; for always there will be greater and lesser persons than yourself.

In the words of Theodore Roosevelt, "Comparison is the thief of joy." There is absolutely nothing wrong with having a strong desire to improve yourself. However, in all phases of your life, do not allow yourself to grow arrogant or envious with superficial comparisons to those around you. Focus on what really matters and you will find joy.
