THOUGHT:

Talent is God given. Be humble. Fame is man-given. Be grateful. Conceit is self-given. Be careful.

Challenge

Either under a clear dark sky full of stars or standing on a beach at sunset, thank God for all your blessings. It will make you humble and grateful. Also, recognize that regardless of how small and insignificant your life may be in the timeline of God's kingdom, God knows you and has a plan for you. Ask Him about it.

Memorial Day is an important reminder of the great sacrifices the men and women of the Armed Services make to defend our way of life.

Challenge

As you enjoy these freedoms this holiday weekend, stop and thank God for the men and women of our armed services (past and present) who continue to protect us. May His peace be with you this Memorial Day - the TAGTeam.

Determination

THOUGHT:

If at first you don't succeed, call it version 1.0.

Challenge

We live in a world that is constantly sending us upgrades to our phones, tablets and our computers. Sometimes the upgrades are truly improvements and sometimes not so much. As you seek ways to improve yourself, don't get discouraged if your outcome is not a complete success. Ask God for the perseverance to keep trying and the wisdom to focus on the right upgrades.

Men make history and not the other way around. In periods where there is no leadership, society stands still. Progress occurs when courageous, skillful leaders seize the opportunity to change things for the better.

Challenge

Be a courageous skillful leader today. Seize every opportunity to do the right thing. Don't wait on the strength of others, find the courage to bring out your inner strength to make a positive moral difference.

As Christians, our compassion is simply a response to the love that God has already shown us.

Challenge

As a refection of God's love for you, show more love and compassion to those around you. Look beyond just your family and friends and find others who can benefit from your love and support today.

Be more concerned with your character than your reputation, because your character is what you really are, while your reputation is merely what others think you are.

Challenge

Let the teachings of Christ guide you to constantly improve upon your character by doing the right thing every time. Focus more on your developing your character and your reputation will follow.

An act of charity that is a trifle to us can be precious to others.

Challenge

Any time you help another, there is value in the eyes of the recipient and in the eyes of God. Find ways to give generously of your time, talent, and treasure to others today. You can start small but never be afraid to give big whenever you can.

Hard work spotlights the character of people: some turn up their sleeves, some turn up their noses, and some don't turn up at all.

Challenge

It has been said that in life, 90% of success is just showing up. Always turn up to help others in need. Whether it time, talent, or treasure, just show up and continue to build your character as an example to others.

One small positive thought in the morning can change your whole day.

Challenge

Start your day by thanking God for your blessings and for the people who mean the most to you. Also, read your daily TAGline and challenge yourself to discover ways to be a better Christian. The only thing you are in complete control of in your life is what you are thinking. Only allow positive thoughts to enter your mind and it will change your day!

Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is gracious, if there is any excellence and if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.

The secret of success is to be ready when your opportunity comes.

Challenge

It has been said that "Luck is what happens when preparation meets opportunity." Are you prepared for your next opportunity? Have you identified what it takes to be ready to reach your goals? Are you making the necessary preparations for eternal life with God? God did not keep it a secret that he will be coming back. He just didn't tell us when...Are you ready?

Challenge

Each of us has a unique prescription for happiness. However, the ingredients in most cases are the same. Be true to yourself and others, love one another with full and open heart, and find specific opportunities to serve others and God. Is it time to refill your prescription?

The greatest legacy one can pass on to one's children and grandchildren is not money or other material things accumulated in one's life, but rather a legacy of character and faith.

Think of the old saying “A family who prays together, stays together.” Your prayer and your daily actions can be a great example of character and faith to your children. They will be watching and learning – show them the path.

It's true. It's how we all went from infant, to child, to adult. Never stop growing. Reach beyond your comfort zone and lay the groundwork for personal growth. Pray with God to receive guidance on where He'd like you to go next. Repeat often.

Worry can keep us up all night long, but faith makes for a comforting pillow.

Challenge

Worry is interest paid on trouble before it's due. As you lay your head down tonight, talk to God about your day and find a way to include Him in a more meaningful way in your life. As your faith begins to grow, your anxieties will begin to diminish.

Don't let a hard lesson harden your heart.

Challenge

At one time or another we have all learned things the hard way. Life will continue to challenge us with adversities, but don't allow your will to grow weak or your heart to grow calloused. God never promised our path to Him would be an easy one, so the next time you learn a hard lesson only allow it to harden your resolve.

It is wise to have long-term life goals, but to have a happy and healthy life, you must find a way to enjoy each day. Seek God's wisdom in finding a balance in your life. Start today by focusing on the things that really matter the most to you and bring you the greatest joy. Repeat again tomorrow.

In today's busy world it is easy to fill our calendars. As you begin each day block out time for the things that are important to you. Start with time for God and family.
