Attitude – Daily TAGline

Thought:

Remember that happiness is a way of travel, not a destination.

Challenge:

Are you happy with where you are going today and what you are doing? If not, why are you doing it? What can YOU change that would make you happy? Maybe your attitude? Ask God for the courage and the will to change in a way that will make your destination today a little happier.

Reference:

But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you. Matthew 6:33 (NABRE)

Attitude – Daily TAGline

Thought:

We cannot put off living until we are ready. The most salient characteristic of life is its urgency, ‘here and now’ without any possible postponement. Life is fired at us point-blank.

Challenge:

If you really stop to think about it, we really don’t have any other option but to “LIVE IN THE MOMENT”. How you choose to live in the moment makes all the difference. Ask God for the strength and the wisdom to not allow yourself to be so preoccupied with the past and the future that you miss opportunities to be your best self in this very moment.

Reference:

And which of you by being anxious can add a single hour to his span of life? Matthew 6:27 (NABRE)

Character – Daily TAGline

Thought:

The highest reward for a person’s toil is not what they get for it, but what they become by it.

Challenge:

Who you are today and what you represent is the accumulation of all your life’s thoughts, decisions and actions. No matter where you are in your life’s journey, start today to make it better by surrounding yourself with positive thoughts and positive people. Think About God more often and allow Him to become a meaningful part of each day.

Reference:

Pursue love, and earnestly desire the spiritual gifts, especially that you may prophesy. 1 Corinthians 14:1 (NABRE)

Kindness – Daily TAGline

Thought:

Among the things you can give and still keep are your word, a smile, and a grateful heart.

Challenge:

Life is abundant. The more you give, the more you get. Give of yourself today – a smile, a kind word, a genuine compliment. The more you give, the more you get.

Reference:

“Give, and it will be given to you. Good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, will be put into your lap. For with the measure you use it will be measured back to you.” Luke 6:38 (NABRE)

Stewardship – Daily TAGline

Thought:

If all you can do is crawl, start crawling.

Challenge:

God has blessed each of us with a unique blend of talents and a capacity to love. The amount and level of your abilities is worth little in comparison to your will to develop it and share it with others. Theodore Roosevelt once said “Do the best you can, with what you have where you are.” That is God’s expectation of you.

Reference:

Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You are serving the Lord Christ. Colossians 3:23-24 (NABRE)

Attitude – Daily TAGline

Thought:

You see people on the street this morning. They are rushing to work and not paying attention to anything. Sometimes we get so caught up in our daily lives that we forget to take the time out – Keanu Reeves.

Challenge:

Say Hi to someone you see and maybe give a hug to someone who looks like they’re hurting. Help out someone. You have to live every day like it’s your last. The person who was holding you back from your happiness is you. Every day is precious so let’s treat it like that. Tomorrow isn’t guaranteed, so live today! – Keanu Reeves

Blessed is the one who reads aloud the words of this prophecy, and blessed are those who hear it and take to heart what is written in it, because the time is near. Revelation 1:3 (NABRE)

Encouragement – Daily TAGline

Thought:

A mediocre person tells. A good person explains. A superior person demonstrates. A great person inspires others to see for themselves.

Challenge:

Everyday we have opportunities to influence other people with both our words and our actions. How many people left your presence today feeling better than they did before they encountered you? How many people did you inspire?

Reference:

Therefore encourage one another and build one another up, just as you are doing. 1 Thessalonians 5:11 (NABRE)

Charity – Daily TAGline

Thought:

Goodness is the only investment that never fails.

Challenge:

When was the last time you did something good for someone else and felt bad about it? If you truly want a rich life, invest more time today doing something meaningful and good for others.

Reference:

In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven. Matthew 5:16 (NABRE)

Service – Daily TAGline

Thought:

What we have done for ourselves alone dies with us; what we have done for others and the world remains and is immortal.

Challenge:

This is truly why giving of yourself is so powerful. Your energy and your efforts put to use in helping others positively affects both you and them. Often times those good deeds are seen by others prompting them to do the same. Use this simple process to ‘pay it forward’ to positively change God’s world.

Reference:

Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others. Philippians 2:4 (NABRE)

Service – Daily TAGline

Thought:

Service is the rent we pay for living. It is the very purpose of life and not something you do in your spare time.

Challenge:

Christ was very clear in His expectations that we are to serve others. Spend more time each day focusing on the needs of others and you will soon discover that your real needs will be better served.

Reference:

Serve wholeheartedly, as if you were serving the Lord, not men. Ephesians 6:7 (NABRE)
