Wisdom

THOUGHT:

The time is always right to do what is right.

Challenge

In your heart, you can determine what is right or wrong. Ask God to provide you with the strength to make the right decision EVERYTIME.

Verse

For we are concerned for what is honorable not only in the sight of the Lord but also in the sight of others.

Evangelism

Posted on March 30, 2017

THOUGHT:

You are the way you are because you were made for a specific ministry.

Challenge

We all have different talents for a reason. What can you do today to help spread the Word of God? Take a minute and think about the opportunities that will come before you to serve the Lord today. Don't be afraid to serve the Lord through your words, and actions.

Verse

II - You formed my inmost being; you knit me in my mother’s womb. I praise you, because I am wonderfully made; wonderful are your works! My very self you know.

Faith

Posted on March 29, 2017

THOUGHT:

Success seems to be largely a matter of hanging on after others have let go.

Challenge

If you feel like letting go today, remember that God is with you, and He can help you hold on. All you have to do is ask Him and you will get the help He knows you need.

Verse

You need endurance to do the will of God and receive what he has promised.

Wisdom

Posted on March 28, 2017

THOUGHT:

You don't have to choose between staying close to Christ and staying on your life's journey. He is the WAY and staying close to him is your life's journey.

Challenge

Take a closer walk with Christ today. In prayer, ask Him for the wisdom to see His Way more clearly, and then ask for the strength to walk with Him more closely.

Verse

Jesus said to him, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.

Service

Posted on March 27, 2017

THOUGHT:

Service is the pathway to real significance. It is through ministry that we discover the meaning of our lives.

Challenge

In a world that is very materialistic a small frail woman (Mother Theresa) was one of the most respected women of this century because of her tireless service to the needy. How much long term significance is your day going to provide to those around you? Don't just do the ordinary, make a difference for someone today.

Verse

For we are his handiwork, created in Christ Jesus for the good works that God has prepared in advance, that we should live in them. One in Christ.

Praise

Posted on March 24, 2017

THOUGHT:

God created beauty to declare the existence of His Holy Being. A magnificent rose, a glorious sunset, oceanic splendor – all these things proclaim His presence in the world.

Challenge

Most people rush past these proclamations without giving them a second thought. Take a moment today to stop and enjoy something that displays the beauty of God's creation, then thank Him for his presence in your world.

Verse

One cried out to the other: “Holy, holy, holy is the LORD of hosts! All the earth is filled with his glory!”

Determination

Posted on March 23, 2017

THOUGHT:

You may be on the right track, but if you just sit there you'll get run over.

Challenge

Most of the time, success in our journeys is the result of steadfast and continuous pursuit of our goals, not something that just happens overnight (especially our Christian journey). It's important to get on the right track; however, it's more important to wake up each day and strive to reach the next station.

Verse

You will let me hear gladness and joy; the bones you have crushed will rejoice. II - Turn away your face from my sins; blot out all my iniquities.

Psalm 51:10-11

Discipleship

Posted on March 22, 2017

THOUGHT:

There is nothing more deceptive than an obvious fact.

Challenge

Take a minute and think about what's happening around you. Do you see anything that doesn't show your love for God? Make the necessary adjustments to change an obvious fact to show your love of the Lord.

Verse

II. God As Light - God Is Light. Now this is the message that we have heard from him and proclaim to you: God is light, and in him there is no darkness at all. If we say, “We have fellowship with him,” while we continue to walk in darkness, we lie and do not act in truth. But if we walk in the light as he is in the light, then we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of his Son Jesus cleanses us from all sin.

Discipleship

Posted on March 21, 2017

THOUGHT:

God created each of us with a unique combination of personality traits. There is no "right" or "wrong" temperament for ministry. We need all kinds of personalities to balance the church and give it flavor.

Challenge

Just as a dish in a fine restaurant is made of many ingredients, so too is the church. If we all had the same gifts the church would be pretty bland and that's not God's plan. Use your unique gifts this week to spice up your relationship with others and the church.

Verse

There are different workings but the same God who produces all of them in everyone.

Service

Posted on March 20, 2017

THOUGHT:

You are called to serve God. Regardless of your job or career, you are called to full-time Christian service.

Challenge

We are not just Christians on Sunday morning, but all the time. Take an extra measure of time to think about your actions today. Are you offering part-time or full-time service to the Lord?

Verse

For those he foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, so that he might be the firstborn among many brothers. And those he predestined he also called; and those he called he also justified; and those he justified he also glorified.

Discipleship

Posted on March 17, 2017

THOUGHT:

Discipleship is the process of becoming a genuine follower of Jesus Christ. We don't complete the process this side of eternity, but it is a continual learning of who Jesus is and striving to be like Him. Discipleship combines teaching, studying, circumstances of life and Holy Spirit revelation to transform us into His image.

Challenge

Are you always striving to be more Christlike? Do you want to be? Have you committed to being a disciple? If you aren't certain you are committed, pray that you can become committed. If you are committed make sure you are teaching, studying and living each day like Christ. Let the Holy Spirit take over and guide you further into true discipleship.

Verse

Then Jesus said to his disciples, “Whoever wishes to come after me must deny himself, take up his cross, and follow me.

Empathy

Posted on March 16, 2017

THOUGHT:

True contentment comes with empathy.

Challenge

To many, contentment means some combination of happiness and peace of mind. However, the direct path to these generally involves helping others by sharing your blessings with those not so fortunate. One blessing God gave us all is empathy; make sure you always share that one with others in need.

Discipleship

Posted on March 15, 2017

THOUGHT:

A disciple is one who thinks, feels and acts like Jesus Christ. It is being conformed to the image of Christ as Romans 8:28-29 states–that God's No.1 purpose for our lives is to make us like Jesus.

Challenge

Help God help you be more like Christ. Do it everyday by submitting yourself to His guidance. Find time to pray and quietly meditate with Him to discover the Christlike path He has prepared for you.

Verse

God’s Indomitable Love in Christ. We know that all things work for good for those who love God, who are called according to his purpose. For those he foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, so that he might be the firstborn among many brothers.

Priorities

Posted on March 14, 2017

THOUGHT:

Things which matter most must never be at the mercy of things which matter least. Doing the most important thing is always the most important thing.

Challenge

Make sure God is at the top of your list. Ask yourself right now what matters most to you in your life. Focus your time and energy on those things and leave the things that don't matter behind.

Verse

What profit is there for one to gain the whole world and forfeit his life?

Discipleship

Posted on March 13, 2017

THOUGHT:

If you really want to experience God, go and make disciples.

Challenge

Don't wait. You can either: "Go tell it on the mountain, over the hills and everywhere...", or you can simply live the life of a disciple and let the world see God as you spread his light.

Verse

Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the holy Spirit,

Habits

Posted on March 10, 2017

THOUGHT:

Extraordinary success is sequential, not simultaneous. You do the right thing and then you do the next right thing. Success builds on success.

Doing the right thing is ALWAYS the right thing. As you strive to be successful, be conscious of your decisions today and ask God for the strength and courage to make the right choices.

Verse

Have no anxiety at all, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, make your requests known to God.

Discipleship

Posted on March 8, 2017

THOUGHT:

It's not that we have too little time to do all the things we need to do, it's that we feel the need to do too many things in the time we have.

Challenge

We are all blessed with the same 24 hours in a day. Make sure you use your time wisely, in service to God and your neighbor.

Verse

And whatever you do, in word or in deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.

Priorities

Posted on March 7, 2017

THOUGHT:

Figure out what matters most in the moment and give it your undivided attention.

Challenge

Many things can distract you today from what matters most. Don't allow this to happen. Stay focused on what matters most - starting with God and Family.

Verse

But seek first the kingdom [of God] and his righteousness, and all these things will be given you besides.

Habits

Posted on March 6, 2017

THOUGHT:

The difference between who you are and who you want to be is what you do.

Challenge

Did your actions yesterday move you closer to where you ultimately want to be in your life? How's it going today? Your thoughts, positive or negative, ultimately lead to your actions. First take control of your thoughts and then you'll take control of your actions. Think About God more often today - That will get things moving in the right direction.

Verse

Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is gracious, if there is any excellence and if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.

Verse

If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask for whatever you want and it will be done for you.

Empathy

Posted on March 2, 2017

THOUGHT:

Empathy is born out of the old biblical injunction 'Love thy neighbor as thyself.

Challenge

Make new again that which is old. Loving your neighbor never goes out of style. Show everyone the timelessness of God's love by showing your love to others in everything you do.

Verse

However, if you fulfill the royal law according to the scripture, “You shall love your neighbor as yourself,” you are doing well.

Discipleship

Posted on March 1, 2017

THOUGHT:

We're supposed to share the Lord with people. All of us are disciples on some level. You don't have to be behind the podium to tell a story, connect with people and share the Gospel.

Challenge

Share your Lord with everyone you encounter today. Do so enthusiastically! Show them and tell them of the greatness of the Lord in everything you do everyday. Let others see the Love of God within you.

Verse

This is how all will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.”
