THOUGHT:

The biggest troublemaker you'll probably ever have to deal with, watches you from the mirror every morning.

Challenge

God Loves You! As you reflect through the issues of the day, don't allow a troublemaker to break you. Remember, you can do everything with God at your side.

Verse

Welcome one another, then, as Christ welcomed you, for the glory of God.

Posted on September 28, 2017

THOUGHT:

What makes you succeed? Is it your focus or your faith?

Challenge

To succeed at the most important goal - salvation, start with faith and focus on steps that will get you closer to God. Think about ways to grow closer to Him today. More importantly, act on them.

Goals

Posted on September 27, 2017

THOUGHT:

Live a good and honorable life, then when you get older and think back, you'll enjoy it a second time.

Challenge

After reviewing your To Do List, are you going to enjoy thinking back over this day later in life? Make the changes you need to ensure the second time will be better than the first.

Verse

Am I now currying favor with human beings or God? Or am I seeking to please people? If I were still trying to please people, I would not be a slave of Christ.

Courage

Posted on September 26, 2017

THOUGHT:

Maybe it won't work out, but maybe seeing if it does may be the best adventure ever.

Challenge

In most cases, the view from halfway up the ladder is still better than the view from the ground. Don't be afraid to take the first steps. Ask God for the courage to reach beyond the boundaries of both your comforts and your fears.

Verse

For God did not give us a spirit of cowardice but rather of power and love and self-control.

Faith

Posted on September 25, 2017

THOUGHT:

The things that excite you are not random. They are connected to your purpose. Follow them.

Challenge

We typically excel the best at the things we enjoy the most. Recognize and act on the things that interest, inspire and excite you. They are clues leading you in the direction of God's plan.

Verse

For I know well the plans I have in mind for you—oracle of the LORD—plans for your welfare and not for woe, so as to give you a future of hope.

Discipleship

Posted on September 22, 2017

THOUGHT:

Have you ever thought what is worse: Saying something and wish you had not; or saying nothing and wish you had?

Challenge

The answer is it does not matter. What does matter is that your words and your actions are done with sincere and good intentions. Don't ever be afraid to reach out to someone. They won't care "how" you reached out...They will just appreciate that you did!

Verse

Let your speech always be gracious, seasoned with salt, so that you know how you should respond to each one.

Do you really feel alive? Or do you feel yourself just going through the motions? Fill your heart with kindness today through acts of generosity. At the end of the day, ask yourself again, "Do I really feel alive?"

Change

Posted on September 19, 2017

THOUGHT:

When was the last time you did something for the first time?

Challenge

It is so easy to let your everyday routines control the variety of your life. Once a week for the next month, make a commitment to yourself to try something completely new and different in your life. On at least 2 of the weeks, pick something you know will help someone else more than it will help you.

Verse

You will show me the path to life, abounding joy in your presence, the delights at your right hand forever.

Empathy

Posted on September 18, 2017

Morals

Posted on September 15, 2017

THOUGHT:

Suffering from "Truth" decay? Brush up on your Bible!

Challenge

A spiritual diet of processed theology, sweetened doctrine, and sugary platitudes consisting of "Trendy Fail-Proof Psychobabble" will slowly erode "the teeth" of biblical Christianity. When you find yourself drifting from your values and you need to enrich your spirituality, reach out to God through the Bible, attending church and through prayer. He will lead you back to your true spirit.

Verse

And you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”

Forgiveness

Posted on September 14, 2017

THOUGHT:

Forgiveness is the process of dropping off your emotional baggage.

Challenge

Think of Christ on the cross asking His Father's forgiveness of what humankind was about to do. It's not easy, but doing so will calm your emotions and allow you to realize the many benefits of forgiving and forgetting. Make forgiveness a hallmark of your character.

Verse

If you forgive others their transgressions, your heavenly Father will forgive you.

Habits

Posted on September 13, 2017

THOUGHT:

Chains of habit are too light to be felt until they are too heavy to be broken.

Challenge

It is easy to get lured or tempted into behavior patterns that quickly become not only self-destructive, but extremely difficult to break. Ask God for the wisdom and discipline to develop habits that will build your character, strengthen your faith and guide your actions in a fashion that will be pleasing to Him.

Verse

No trial has come to you but what is human. God is faithful and will not let you be tried beyond your strength; but with the trial he will also provide a way out, so that you may be able to bear it. Warning Against Idolatry.

Prayer

Posted on September 11, 2017

THOUGHT:

If all your prayers were answered, would it change the world - or just yours?

Challenge

So often, we focus our prayers only on our own needs. The next time you pray, try to identify specific people or circumstances (like those suffering from the hurricanes) that need God's help and attention. At the same time, ask God to use you as an instrument to bring those people the help, the relief, the means, the encouragement and the support that they need. Your prayers and actions will then change the world!

Verse

If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask for whatever you want and it will be done for you.

Faith

Posted on September 8, 2017

THOUGHT:

The mission of the Church is to seek and to save those who are lost.

Challenge

Everyone, including yourself, is a little lost as none of us are sin free. Attend church regularly and keep your bible well worn in order to find your way through this challenging world. Both God and you will be glad you did.

Jesus said to him in reply, “It is written: ‘You shall worship the Lord, your God, and him alone shall you serve.’”

Success

Posted on September 6, 2017

THOUGHT:

The heart is great which shows moderation in the midst of prosperity.

Challenge

Regardless of your level of success, always be humble and deflect the attention to the needs and benefits of others. Always remember that success requires no explanation, and humility is not thinking less of yourself, but thinking of yourself less.

Integrity

Posted on September 1, 2017

THOUGHT:

Integrity is choosing courage over comfort; choosing what is right over what is fun, fast or easy; and choosing to practice our values rather than just professing them.

Challenge

What do you stand for? If your answer could only be expressed by your thoughts, your intentions and your actions, would you like how it sounds?

Verse

Whoever walks honestly walks securely, but one whose ways are crooked will fare badly.
