Priorities

Posted on April 30, 2018

THOUGHT:

One day or day one, you decide.

Challenge

In this busy world we often put things like reading the bible off to one or some day. Trouble is that day never seems to come. Decide that today is day one for spending more time with family, friends, God and the bible. Then make each day hereafter a new day one.

Verse

Chapter 3 No One Can Determine the Right Time to Act - There is an appointed time for everything, and a time for every affair under the heavens. A time to give birth, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to uproot the plant.

If opportunity doesn't knock, build a door.

Don't just sit around waiting for good things to happen, be proactive and find opportunities to make them happen to help others. Whether that be holding the door for someone with their hands full or donating to a soup kitchen running low on supplies it all matters and makes for a better world. God gave you the ability to seek, so use that ability and build doors in His name.

THOUGHT:

God's supreme word to us is life; our highest worship of Him is love for the living.

Being over confident is equal to being blind.

Challenge

It is ok to be confident, but don't let it turn to arrogance as arrogance is a sin that blinds us and prevents us from seeing God's plan. Better to spend time being humble, grateful, and praising others than thinking of yourself. Open your eyes to the love of putting others before yourself.

Verse

Many Parts in One Body. For by the grace given to me I tell everyone among you not to think of himself more highly than one ought to think, but to think soberly, each according to the measure of faith that God has apportioned.
