Courage

Posted on June 29, 2018

THOUGHT:

Don't watch the clock; do what it does. Keep going.

Challenge

We are all too obsessed with time, always looking at the clock, delaying decisions, and waiting for the right time. Don't allow yourself to be paralyzed by time. The perfect time never comes. Ask God for the courage to start doing the things you've always wanted to do today.

Verse

You have no idea what your life will be like tomorrow. You are a puff of smoke that appears briefly and then disappears.

THOUGHT:

If you are irritated by every rub, how will you be polished?

Challenge

There will always be words and actions in your life that rub you the wrong way. All of life's experiences, both joyous and challenging, form you. Ask God for the wisdom, courage and determination to embrace life and let it form you in His image.

THOUGHT:

The only person you are destined to become is the person you decide to be.

We are all in control of our destiny...Whether you want to be or not. The decisions you make and the ones you choose not to make ultimately determine your fate. Ask God for the willpower to always be present in your own life and to guide your decisions in a way that will make both you and Him happy.

THOUGHT:

The difference between try and triumph is a little "umph."

Nobody said life was going to be easy. The next time you try to accomplish something important, ask God for the will to try harder. With His support, you'll be surprised at how hard you are capable of working on something that really matters.

Always remember to fall asleep with a dream and wake up with a purpose.

Guidance

Posted on June 15, 2018

THOUGHT:

A father's guiding hand on his child's shoulder will remain with them forever.

Challenge

God gave fathers the gift of guidance. Use God's gift to show your children the path to making the best choices in their lives. Guide your children in the same positive direction our Holy Father has guided you. Happy Father's Day! - The TAGteam

Discipleship

Posted on June 14, 2018

THOUGHT:

Don't ask God to guide your steps if you're not willing to move your feet.

Challenge

While God calls us to trust in Him, that doesn't mean we don't have to act. As you reflect on what Christ is calling you to do and be, make sure you are willing to take the steps when He directs you.

Verse

Indeed someone may say, “You have faith and I have works.” Demonstrate your faith to me without works, and I will demonstrate my faith to you from my works.

Priorities

Posted on June 13, 2018

THOUGHT:

When you're interested in doing something, you only do it when it's convenient. When you're committed, you accept no excuses, only results.

Challenge

Begin today accepting nothing but a full commitment to your faith. Quit making excuses, Jesus says there is no such thing as a lukewarm believer (meaning just an "interested Christian"). We need to give our all to God and our Christian faith - lukewarm just doesn't cut it.

Verse

“I know your works; I know that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish you were either cold or hot. So, because you are lukewarm, neither hot nor cold, I will spit you out of my mouth.

Empathy

Posted on June 12, 2018

THOUGHT:

Too often we view ourselves based on our best intentions, and other groups based on their radical outliers.

Challenge

In our politically charged society, make time to remember that we are ALL God's children, and while you may not agree with everything, you should show love and mercy to everyone. Take time to listen to the reasoning before you just write-off those with different opinions.

Verse

Whoever answers before listening, theirs is folly and shame.

Wisdom

Posted on June 11, 2018

THOUGHT:

If you think you're up with technology, remember that Moses was the first person with a tablet to download data from the cloud.

Challenge

The most important sources of knowledge may be a little older than you expect. Make sure you spend time in the Bible today.

Verse

When he is sitting upon his royal throne, he shall write a copy of this law upon a scroll from the one that is in the custody of the levitical priests. It shall remain with him and he shall read it as long as he lives, so that he may learn to fear the LORD, his God, and to observe carefully all the words of this law and these statutes, so that he does not exalt himself over his kindred or turn aside from this commandment to the right or to the left, and so that he and his descendants may reign long in Israel.

Service

THOUGHT:

Holiness does not consist in doing extraordinary things.  It consists in accepting, with a smile, what Jesus sends us. - Mother Teresa

Challenge

Too often we don't think our efforts can make a difference or change the world. Instead of focusing on what you can't accomplish, accept the circumstances God has blessed you with today. Keep your mind clear and look for opportunities to show Christ to those around you.

Verse

So then, while we have the opportunity, let us do good to all, but especially to those who belong to the family of the faith. VI. Conclusion - Final Appeal.

Opportunity dances with those who are already on the dance floor.

Posted on June 6, 2018

The longer you wait for the future, the shorter it will be.

Challenge

The perfect time to do anything never comes. Don't let procrastination be the only thing you don't put off until tomorrow! Start living the life you dream of today. Start taking steps toward your goals today so you can reach them sooner and enjoy them longer. What are you waiting for? The first step is right in front of you.

Discipleship

Posted on June 4, 2018

THOUGHT:

Christianity, if false, is of no importance, and if true, of infinite importance. The only thing it cannot be is moderately important.

Challenge

How important is your Christian faith? Review your To-Do list for today and then ask yourself again. If Christianity is truly infinitely important to you, then how are you going to show that to others today?

Verse

“I know your works; I know that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish you were either cold or hot. So, because you are lukewarm, neither hot nor cold, I will spit you out of my mouth.

Grace

Posted on June 1, 2018

THOUGHT:

Sometimes the bad things that happen in our lives put us directly on the path to the best things that will ever happen to us.

Challenge

When bad things happen in your life, and they inevitably will, look for the nearest path to God. A closer relationship with Him is the best thing that could ever happen to you.

Verse

Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you of two minds.
