Character – Daily TAGline

Thought:

We get so worried about being “pretty”! Let’s be pretty KIND, pretty LOVING, pretty COMPASIONATE, pretty FORGIVING, and pretty HUMBLE!

Challenge:

Live your life by being pretty on the inside and being a pretty good example of how to live a good Christian life to all those around you.

Reference:

Finally, all of you, be like-minded, be sympathetic, love one another, be compassionate and humble. 1 Peter 3:8 (NABRE)

Attitude – Daily TAGline

Thought:

Be present. I would encourage you with all my heart just to be present. Be present and open to the moment that is unfolding before you. Because, ultimately, your life is made up of moments. So don’t miss them by being lost in the past or anticipating the future.

Challenge:

Do you want to improve the quality of your life? Then train yourself to be “positively present” in every moment of your life. Like most worthwhile habits, it will require commitment and persistence, but it will quickly lower your blood pressure and increase your happiness.

Reference:

Let no corrupting talk come out of your mouths, but only such as is good for building up, as fits the occasion, that it may give grace to those who hear. Ephesians 4:29 (NABRE)

Vocation – Daily TAGline

Thought:

I believe purpose is something for which one is responsible; it’s not just divinely assigned.

Challenge:

There is no doubt that God has a plan for you, but He requires you to discover and develop your purpose in life. What are you living for each day? Do you like your answer?

Reference:

For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them. Ephesians 2:10 (NABRE)

Priorities – Daily TAGline

Thought:

Time passes so quickly that you don’t even notice it until it begins to show on you. So, don’t wait to use the good china, go on the trip, eat the cake, watch the late movie, read your favorite book and take a chance in life. The time is now. Tomorrow is promised to no one.

Challenge:

We all agree that time is flying by…So what in the world are you waiting for. How many times do you have to acknowledge to yourself and to others that you can’t believe how fast time is marching by? Yet, here you sit!

Reference:

Yet you do not know what tomorrow will bring. What is your life? For you are a mist that appears for a little time and then vanishes. James 4:14 (NABRE)

Courage – Daily TAGline

Thought:

If you see your glass as half empty, pour it into another glass and stop complaining.

Challenge:

If you are not happy with the circumstances in your life, change them. It is YOUR life, so take actions today to begin to make it better. Ask God for the courage to take the first step. The second one will be easier.

Reference:

For in him the whole fullness of deity dwells bodily, Colossians 2:9 (NABRE)

Faith – Daily TAGline

Thought:

God heard your prayer – now just trust Him and remember – His timing, not yours.

Challenge:

How strong is your faith? When you pray today, have true faith that God will hear your prayer. If it is according to His will, He will answer your prayer. Have patience and wait for God’s blessing.

Reference:

And this is the confidence that we have toward him, that if we ask anything according to his will he hears us. And if we know that he hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we have the requests that we have asked of him. John 5:14-15 (NABRE)

Compassion – Daily TAGline

Thought:

Everyone you will ever meet knows something you don’t.

Challenge:

Genuinely listen to everyone you encounter today. Learn from others knowing that we all are children of God and there is significant value to be gained in the most unlikely of places. Show everyone you meet today the respect they deserve.

Reference:

The hearing ear and the seeing eye, the Lord has made them both. Proverbs 20:12 (NABRE)

Attitude – Daily TAGline

Thought:

If the grass looks greener on the other side…Stop staring. Stop comparing. Stop complaining. Start watering the grass you’re standing on!

Challenge:

Sometimes it is easy to grow envious of what you perceive others have and you don’t. Instead of focusing on what you don’t have, focus and cultivate what you do have. God has blessed you with many unique talents. Take some time today to first thank Him for your talents, and then spend even more time developing them.

Reference:

Do not neglect the gift you have, which was given you by prophecy when the council of elders laid their hands on you. 1 Timothy 4:14 (NABRE)

Change – Daily TAGline

Thought:

You can’t go back and change the beginning, but you can start where you are and change the ending.

Challenge:

Don’t be paralyzed by the past. Decide on who you want to be, where you want to be, and how you want to be. Focus forward and have faith in God and in yourself.

Reference:

Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go. Joshua 1:9 (NABRE)

Change – Daily TAGline

Thought:

When I lost all my excuses, I found my results.

Challenge:

Those who are good at making excuses are seldom good at anything else. God expects us to live and to accomplish great things. Stop making excuses today and start creating results.

Reference:

Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the wicked, nor stands in the way of sinners, nor sits in the seat of scoffers; but his delight is in the law of the Lord, and on his law he meditates day and night. He is like a tree planted by streams of water that yields its fruit in its season, and its leaf does not wither. Psalm 1:1-3 (NABRE)
