THOUGHT:

It is easier to do the job right than to explain why you didn't.

Challenge

In our hurry to accomplish everything, it is often easy to avoid details and cut corners. Are you cutting corners with your Christian walk as well? Make sure you are accomplishing tasks fully and that God is the cornerstone of your life today.

Love

Posted on September 27, 2018

THOUGHT:

Love is a verb, not a noun. Love is something we do.

Challenge

For those you love, how true does this statement feel? Have you shown your love to those closest to you? What about God? Reflect on your service to Him and think of ways to improve on this action.

Verse

For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him might not perish but might have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world might be saved through him. Whoever believes in him will not be condemned, but whoever does not believe has already been condemned, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God.

THOUGHT:

Climb the mountain...so that you can see the world, not so that the world can see you.

Challenge

Work hard, reach for the peak, and strive to achieve everything you were meant to achieve. Don't look for recognition, but look for others you can share the fruits of your success with who may not be as blessed.

THOUGHT:

A real Brother walks with you when the rest of the world walks on you!

Challenge

When we see those in need, it's often easier to ignore them or join the crowd than to offer assistance. Step out of the worldly norm and take time to help those around you today. Don't let the world's view prevent you from walking with those in need.

Verse

“Stop judging and you will not be judged. Stop condemning and you will not be condemned. Forgive and you will be forgiven. Give and gifts will be given to you; a good measure, packed together, shaken down, and overflowing, will be poured into your lap. For the measure with which you measure will in return be measured out to you.”

Service

Posted on September 18, 2018

THOUGHT:

It's never too late to be what you might have been.

Challenge

We've all missed opportunities to do what is right. Don't focus on the opportunities lost; rather, focus on what God puts in front of you today. Serve Him well.

Verse

Because the one who sows for his flesh will reap corruption from the flesh, but the one who sows for the spirit will reap eternal life from the spirit. Let us not grow tired of doing good, for in due time we shall reap our harvest, if we do not give up. So then, while we have the opportunity, let us do good to all, but especially to those who belong to the family of the faith. VI. Conclusion - Final Appeal.

Comfort

God never said life would be easy, He just promised it would be worth it.

Challenge

We all have what feel like struggles in our lives. Reflect for a minute on why God has allowed these items into your life. Are you gaining strength, character, knowledge or something else? Accept these challenges as opportunities from God so you can focus on the big picture goals of serving others now and enjoying eternal life later.

THOUGHT:

Use me, God. Show me how to take who I am, who I want to be & what I can do, and use it for a purpose greater than myself.

Does the phrase "Use me, God" challenge your conventional wisdom? It shouldn't. Only through God can we rise above our mere mortal selves into something greater that He has planned for us. Give yourself to God everyday and let Him use you to better the world around you.

Verse

For God is the one who, for his good purpose, works in you both to desire and to work.

THOUGHT:

It is useless for a man to flaunt his knowledge of the law if he undermines its teaching by his action.

Challenge

One of the challenges the world has with Christians is when we don't live what we preach. As sinners, we will always fail. Don't allow your failures to become habits. Strive to be the best version of yourself to provide an example of Christ through your actions.

Verse

To the clean all things are clean, but to those who are defiled and unbelieving nothing is clean; in fact, both their minds and their consciences are tainted. They claim to know God, but by their deeds they deny him. They are vile and disobedient and unqualified for any good deed.
