THOUGHT:

Ruminating about the past is like trying to drive backward to undo a car accident.

Challenge

No matter how much you think about it, worry about it or regret it, you can't change your past. Yet, there you go again thinking about the past as if you can rewrite it. Focus your time and attention to live fully in the present where you really can make a difference.

Verse

Brothers, I for my part do not consider myself to have taken possession. Just one thing: forgetting what lies behind but straining forward to what lies ahead, I continue my pursuit toward the goal, the prize of God’s upward calling, in Christ Jesus.

Empathy

Posted on February 26, 2019

THOUGHT:

Our days are happier when we give people a bit of our heart rather than a piece of our mind.

Challenge

Empathy comes from the heart not from the judgement of the mind. Truly empathize with those around you today by understanding their situation and letting your heart guide your tongue. Let God's love flow through you to them.

Verse

Finally, all of you, be of one mind, sympathetic, loving toward one another, compassionate, humble.

THOUGHT:

There are always 3 choices in life: give up, give in, or give it all you've got.

Challenge

Starting today, "Give it all you've got to being a faithful Christian." God gave you His most precious gift - Christ, who died on the cross for us. That was surely not giving up or giving in, but an example for all of us to give it our all while here on earth.

Verse

For Christ also suffered for sins once, the righteous for the sake of the unrighteous, that he might lead you to God. Put to death in the flesh, he was brought to life in the spirit.

In this day and age of constant communication, bombardment of information and always being connected, you can get in a real rut. This is not good physically or mentally. Starting today, take a few minutes and unplug from everything. Use the time to relax, recharge, meditate and listen to God. Refreshed? Restart.

It takes courage and faith to take a risk to break out of your rut. With faith that God has a bigger and better plan just for you, take a risk and follow His lead today.

Posted on February 8, 2019

THOUGHT:

Holding a grudge is like trying to get revenge on someone else by hurting yourself.
