THOUGHT:

It's okay to look at the past and the future. Just don't stare.

Challenge

There's absolutely nothing wrong with re-living some fond memories and learning from your past. There's also nothing wrong with planning and visualizing your future. However, don't spend too much time doing either one at the expense of making the most of the present. Focus on today and you'll create many great memories and your future will be bright.

THOUGHT:

Tell me I'm clever, Tell me I'm kind, Tell me I'm talented, Tell me I'm cute, Tell me I'm sensitive, graceful and wise, Tell me I'm perfect - But tell me the truth.

Challenge

Only telling people what they want to hear and only hearing what you want to hear often leads us to a distorted view of the truth. Make a conscious effort today to be honest with yourself and honest with others. As you develop this habit of honesty, you will find it requires far less effort and yields far more peace of mind.

THOUGHT:

Never let a bad day make you feel like you have a bad life.

Challenge

We're all blessed. Take a moment to try and list all of your blessings. If you're honest, you will run out of paper before you run out of blessings. Now say a quick thanks to God for all of these blessings.

My God will fully supply whatever you need, in accord with his glorious riches in Christ Jesus.

THOUGHT:

You can waste your life drawing lines. Or you can live your life crossing them.

Challenge

As you turn the page to start a new season in your life, spend less time discussing and mapping out your plans and more time actually working toward them. Find a way to cross more finish lines in 2019!

THOUGHT:

The bird of paradise lands only upon the hand that does not grasp.

Challenge

The more you tighten your grip and try to control every element of your life, the more difficult it is to find true peace of mind. Ask God to strengthen your faith so that you will have the confidence to loosen your grasp. Let go and find freedom.

The concern of the flesh is death, but the concern of the spirit is life and peace.

Happiness is not the absence of problems, it's the ability to deal with them.

Challenge

There is no problem too large for God. Turn your problems over to Him in prayer, and then have faith that God will help you to deal with them.

THOUGHT:

Be yourself; everyone else is already taken.

Challenge

God made you uniquely you. Do not change who you are to conform to this world. Find the courage to seek God's plan for you, the unique you that He created. His plan, not man's, is the perfect one for you.

Do not conform yourselves to this age but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and pleasing and perfect.

Your mission in life is not merely to survive, but to thrive!

Challenge

Think back over the last 7 days of your life. Are you just surviving, or are you thriving? Over the next 7 days, spend more time with the people you really care most about, doing the things you enjoy the most, and finding ways to make a positive difference in the world. Then, next week ask yourself the same questio& Am I just surviving or am I thriving?

THOUGHT:

Carry a heart that never hates. Carry a smile that never fades. Carry a touch that never hurts.

Challenge

True love includes more than just words, it includes actions and service. What are you carrying around today?

Be doers of the word and not hearers only, deluding yourselves.

THOUGHT:

When you feel as if no one understands, turn to the one with scars on His hands.

Challenge

Unfortunately life doesn't always come up roses. The next time you feel down and feel like there is no one to turn to, turn to Christ. Take some quiet time and share your thoughts with Him. Feel the comfort He brings you in quiet meditation. Slowly read the 23rd Psalm and find the peace and protection it cloaks you in.

Change is inevitable. Embrace it with enthusiasm and confidence, knowing that it is part of God's perfect plan for you. With Him, All Things Are Possible.

THOUGHT:

It takes less time to do things right than to explain why we did it wrong.

Challenge

It has been often said that “One who is good at making excuses is seldom good at anything else.” Stop taking shortcuts in your life today, and quit rationalizing your failures with excuses. Hold yourself personally accountable for all of your actions. If you do what's right the first time, you'll have more time to do good.

I tell you, on the day of judgment people will render an account for every careless word they speak.

THOUGHT:

Anything can be done if you have the will to do it.

Challenge

What have you been putting off that you know could improve your life and the life of those around you? What are you waiting for? Ask God for the strength to take action now. Once you have the will and a purpose, you can accomplish anything you set your mind to. Decide now and get started on your better future.

For God is the one who, for his good purpose, works in you both to desire and to work.

Mother is the name for God in the lips and hearts of little children.

Challenge

Thank your mother and every mother you know today for the Christian love they bring into their children's lives. Remember, children are born innocent and needy. THOUGHT:

You'll never experience something new if you don't try something new.

Challenge

Are you in a spiritual rut? What can you do to strengthen your faith - join a bible study, talk with an accountability partner, attend a daily church service? Try something new. The experience will be worth it.

Jesus answered and said to him, “Amen, amen, I say to you, no one can see the kingdom of God without being born from above.”

THOUGHT:

Dreams are like muscles. If you don't exercise them and make them grow, they will wither and waste away.

Challenge

Nothing of significance comes without effort, but the rewards far outweigh the contribution required. Dream how you can best use your life in service to God, then take steps to make your dream come true. There is no greater reward than what He has promised you.

You need endurance to do the will of God and receive what he has promised.

Be somebody who makes everyone feel like a somebody.

Challenge

Go out of your way today to praise, listen, and empathize with those around you. Everyone needs a little more positive in their journey. We are all children of God so make sure everyone feels wanted, cared about, and worthy of your caring.

Colosians 3:12

THOUGHT:

If you believe in a God who controls the big things, you have to believe in a God who controls the little things. It is we, of course, to whom things look 'little' or 'big'.

Challenge

There is no problem too big or too small to share with God in prayer. What is troubling you today? Big or small - it doesn't matter, turn it over to God right now in prayer. Then, take comfort knowing that God hears all your prayers and answers them according to His perfect will.

Have no anxiety at all, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, make your requests known to God.

THOUGHT:

We can't always control what happens to us. The only thing we can control is how we react to it.

Challenge

Our earthly existence is but a fleeting moment in time, so anything that happens to you in this life is temporary. Remember that the next time something bad happens to you. Then choose to react with a positive attitude. Show self-control and be a positive example for those who are watching your actions.

For God did not give us a spirit of cowardice but rather of power and love and self-control.

THOUGHT:

Be modest. Much was accomplished before you were born.

Challenge

Resist any temptation to boast today. Everything you have is a product of God and you have it because of His Grace. Modesty and humility are representative of the Christ-like character you should be striving to emulate.

Whoever exalts himself will be humbled; but whoever humbles himself will be exalted.
