THOUGHT:

We think too small. Like the frog at the bottom of the well. He thinks the sky is only as big as the top of the well. If he surfaced, he would have an entirely different view.

Challenge

Broaden your view of your world by opening your mind and your senses to the beauty God has provided all around you. Think bigger about God's plan for you and find a way to serve Him. The sky is the limit.

Verse

You shall be cast out from human society and dwell with wild beasts; you shall be given grass to eat like an ox and be bathed with the dew of heaven; seven years shall pass over you, until you know that the Most High is sovereign over human kingship and gives it to whom he will.

THOUGHT:

Are you fit company for the person you wish to become?

Challenge

The best way to become the person you want to be is to start acting like that person right now. Hopefully, your plan for whom you want to be is consistent with God's plan for you. If you're not sure, just ask Him and He will show you the way.

God had foreseen something better for us, so that without us they should not be made perfect.

Can you imagine what air would cost if someone had to provide it?

Challenge

Each time you reach for money today, think about the "free" gifts God has given you – air, a friendly smile, salvation… Remember to thank God often for the unsung gifts we receive throughout the day.

Verse

We have not received the spirit of the world but the Spirit that is from God, so that we may understand the things freely given us by God.

THOUGHT:

Our walk with God is personal, but not private.

Challenge

God desires a personal relationship with each of us so that we can know Him more intimately. As we more fully know God, we must realize that He also desires for us to share His Good News with others. As you interact with others this week, allow God to speak to others through your words, actions and deeds.

Verse

How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of the one bringing good news, Announcing peace, bearing good news, announcing salvation, saying to Zion, "Your God is King!"

THOUGHT:

Life's tragedy is that we get old too soon and wise too late.

Challenge

Unfortunately, you can impose no influence on the pace of time; however, you do have the ability to impact your wisdom. All the wisdom you need can be found in Bible. Find time to read it eagerly each week and you'll find your wisdom cheating your age.

Verse

So with old age is wisdom, and with length of days understanding.

If you want your future to be different from your past, you can control it by changing your habits. Our lives change when our habits change.

We all have good and bad habits. Reflect on the habits that are not creating the life you want, and replace them with positive ones. It takes time to form a new habit so start today.

No trial has come to you but what is human. God is faithful and will not let you be tried beyond your strength; but with the trial he will also provide a way out, so that you may be able to bear it. Warning Against Idolatry.

Change

Posted on March 11, 2020

THOUGHT:

This world should be different because you were here. As a Christian, you have an obligation to leave the world better than you found it.

Challenge

It's a natural tendency to focus on your tasks, put your head down and get the job done - but how does that help those around you? Make a commitment today to make the world around you a better place. Even a small action can make a big ripple. Repeat this as often as possible.

Verse

In every way I have shown you that by hard work of that sort we must help the weak, and keep in mind the words of the Lord Jesus who himself said, ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’”
