Service – Daily TAGline

Thought:

We think too small. Like the frog at the bottom of the well. He thinks the sky is only as big as the top of the well. If he surfaced, he would have an entirely different view.

Challenge:

Broaden your view of your world by opening your mind and your senses to the beauty God has provided all around you. Think bigger about God’s plan for you and find a way to serve Him. The sky is the limit.

Reference:

You shall be cast out from human society and dwell with wild beasts; you shall be given grass to eat like an ox and be bathed with the dew of heaven; seven years shall pass over you, until you know that the Most High is sovereign over human kingship and gives it to whom he will.

Daniel 4:22 (NABRE)

Attitude – Daily TAGline

Thought:

Are you fit company for the person you wish to become?

Challenge:

The best way to become the person you want to be is to start acting like that person right now. Hopefully, your plan for whom you want to be is consistent with God’s plan for you. If you’re not sure, just ask Him and He will show you the way.

Reference:

God had foreseen something better for us, so that without us they should not be made perfect.

Hebrews 11:40 (NABRE)

Praise – Daily TAGline

Thought:

Can you imagine what air would cost if someone had to provide it?

Challenge:

Each time you reach for money today, think about the “free” gifts God has given you – air, a friendly smile, salvation… Remember to thank God often for the unsung gifts we receive throughout the day.

Reference:

We have not received the spirit of the world but the Spirit that is from God, so that we may understand the things freely given us by God.

1 Corinthians 2:12 (NABRE)

Discipleship – Daily TAGline

Thought:

Our walk with God is personal, but not private.

Challenge:

God desires a personal relationship with each of us so that we can know Him more intimately. As we more fully know God, we must realize that He also desires for us to share His Good News with others. As you interact with others this week, allow God to speak to others through your words, actions and deeds.

Reference:

How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of the one bringing good news, Announcing peace, bearing good news, announcing salvation, saying to Zion, “Your God is King!”

Isaiah 52:7 (NABRE)

Faith – Daily TAGline

Thought:

Remember that not getting what you want is sometimes a wonderful stroke of luck.

Challenge:

Look for the good in everything you receive even if it is not exactly what you may have wanted. Remember to thank God for ALL his wonderful blessings and have faith that He will provide you with everything you need.

Reference:

From his fullness we have all received, grace in place of grace,

John 1:16 (NABRE)

Wisdom – Daily TAGline

Thought:

If God is running the universe and has first claim on our lives, guess who isn’t running the universe?

Challenge:

Acknowledge that God has control over all things. “Let go of the wheel” and let God guide you today.

Our steps are from the LORD; how, then, can mortals understand their way?

Proverbs 20:24 (NABRE)

Praise – Daily TAGline

Thought:

Your good fortune lies not only in what blessings God gives you, but in how you receive them.

Challenge:

Receive all your blessings with a heart-felt thanks to God. Look for them, count them, recognize them, and most of all appreciate them as a gift from God.

Reference:

All this I do for the sake of the gospel, so that I too may have a share in it. Do you not know that the runners in the stadium all run in the race, but only one wins the prize? Run so as to win.

1 Corinthians 9:23-24 (NABRE)

Wisdom – Daily TAGline

Thought:

Life’s tragedy is that we get old too soon and wise too late.

Challenge:

Unfortunately, you can impose no influence on the pace of time; however, you do have the ability to impact your wisdom. All the wisdom you need can be found in Bible. Find time to read it eagerly each week and you’ll find your wisdom cheating your age.

Reference:

So with old age is wisdom, and with length of days understanding.

Job 12:12 (NABRE)

Character – Daily TAGline

Thought:

Don’t compare yourself with anyone in this world. If you do, you are insulting yourself.

Challenge:

God made you the unique person you are – it was not by accident. Do not compare yourself to others, but rather stand out, utilizing the unique traits God blessed you with. Use them to serve Him today.

Reference:

Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.
