Attitude

Posted on June 22, 2021

THOUGHT:

Time is limited, so you better wake up every morning fresh and know that you have just one chance to live this particular day in Christ's image, and to string your days together into a life of action and purpose.

Challenge

Don't live by your plan today; live by Christ's plan for you. What changes will this require in your schedule? Repeat the process tomorrow.

Verse

As each one has received a gift, use it to serve one another as good stewards of God’s varied grace.

Faith

Posted on June 21, 2021

THOUGHT:

Faith is not anti-intellectual. Faith requires us to reach beyond the limits of our five senses and our intellect.

Challenge

Touch a loved one, smell a flower, listen to a bird sing, see the sun rise, taste your favorite food. All of your senses let you experience God’s creations. Let you faith reach beyond earthly things so you can strengthen your relationship with God.

Verse

Although you have not seen him you love him; even though you do not see him now yet believe in him, you rejoice with an indescribable and glorious joy,

Gratitude

Posted on June 18, 2021

THOUGHT:

One night a father overheard his son pray: Dear God, Make me the kind of man my Daddy is. Later that night, the Father prayed, Dear God, Make me the kind of man my son wants me to be.

Challenge

Fathers: Set a good example to your children through your acts and deeds of faith, love, kindness, humility, honesty, and generosity. Sons and Daughters: Show your father that you’ve been paying attention AND thank him for showing you the way. Happy Fathers’ Day – the TAGteam!

Verse

Honor your father and your mother’; and ‘you shall love your neighbor as yourself.’”

Courage

Posted on June 17, 2021

THOUGHT:

The violence of the few is much less scary than the silence of many.

Challenge

We are likely to be concerned about scary things that might happen to us, but how about what could happen through us? Show those around you that you are a Christian through your actions and your words. Start right now.

Verse

By their fruits you will know them. Do people pick grapes from thornbushes, or figs from thistles?

Peace

Posted on June 16, 2021

THOUGHT:

There are two ways to live your life. One is as though nothing is a miracle. The other is as though everything is a miracle. – Albert Einstein

Challenge

Think About God today and all His miracles you see around you. Take the time to appreciate everything and be amazed. Make this a habit and you’ll see another miracle forming within you… peace.

Verse

He does things great and unsearchable, things marvelous and innumerable.

Compassion

Posted on June 15, 2021

THOUGHT:

Forget injuries, never forget kindnesses.

Challenge

While Jesus taught us to forgive, and forget, He was not talking about forgetting another’s kindness. Remember those who have been kind to you or your loved ones by returning that kindness to them and to others. Play it forward.

Verse

And now may the LORD show you kindness and fidelity. For my part, I will show generosity to you for having done this.

Faith

Posted on June 14, 2021

THOUGHT:

We have a choice: to plow new ground or let the weeds grow.

Challenge

Commit today to plow new ground in your faith. Grow deeper in your faith by joining a bible study or outreach group at your church and let your faith blossom.

Verse

Thanksgiving. We ought to thank God always for you, brothers, as is fitting, because your faith flourishes ever more, and the love of every one of you for one another grows ever greater.

THOUGHT:

Even in the hardest times, we must keep our faith in God. He is the one person that will never let you down.

Challenge

When you encounter your next struggle, focus your energy on your faith in God. His presence will lighten your burden.

Verse

Psalm 69 A Cry of Anguish in Great Distress - For the leader; according to “Lilies.” Of David. I - Save me, God, for the waters have reached my neck. I have sunk into the mire of the deep, where there is no foothold. I have gone down to the watery depths; the flood overwhelms me.

Joy

Posted on June 10, 2021

THOUGHT:

Unless each day can be looked back upon by an individual as one in which he has had some fun, some joy, some real satisfaction, that day is a loss. It is un-Christian and wicked, in my opinion, to allow such a thing to occur. - Dwight D. Eisenhower

Challenge

God wants you to experience the fun and joy of His creations today. Take a break from your work and chores. Don't let one of His days go to waste.

Verse

You will show me the path to life, abounding joy in your presence, the delights at your right hand forever.
