THOUGHT:

Anyone can sympathize with the sufferings of a friend, but it requires a very fine nature to sincerely celebrate with a friend’s success.

Challenge

The next time someone you know is successful, contact them, tell them you are proud and encourage them to keep up the good work. Find a way in your heart to genuinely celebrate in their success.

Verse

Only then shall you succeed, if you are careful to observe the statutes and ordinances which the LORD commanded Moses for Israel. Be strong and steadfast; do not fear or be dismayed.

THOUGHT:

Some will hear, but not listen. Some will listen, but not understand. And some will understand, but not act.

Challenge

If you read and understand this, you are blessed above most. Take a minute and reflect on your God-given blessings. How do you plan to act today? Share at least one of your God-given blessings with someone else today?

Verse

Be doers of the word and not hearers only, deluding yourselves. For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man who looks at his own face in a mirror. He sees himself, then goes off and promptly forgets what he looked like. But the one who peers into the perfect law of freedom and perseveres, and is not a hearer who forgets but a doer who acts, such a one shall be blessed in what he does.

In the same way, the Spirit too comes to the aid of our weakness; for we do not know how to pray as we ought, but the Spirit itself intercedes with inexpressible groanings.

My two greatest mistakes in life have been mathematical; I have misjudged the brevity of life and the length of eternity.
