Gratitude

Posted on September 17, 2021

THOUGHT:

The Degree to which I am blessed staggers me... the degree to which I take that for granted shames me.

Challenge

Regardless of the struggles in your life, compared to the vast majority of the people on earth, you are truly blessed. Take a moment right now to thank God for your many blessings. Live every moment in an attitude of gratitude and share your blessings with those in need.

Verse

Strike dumb their lying lips, which speak arrogantly against the righteous in contempt and scorn.

THOUGHT:

Success is not what you have done compared to what others have done. Success is what you have done compared to what you were supposed to do.

Challenge

God provided you with unique talents. Show him you are grateful by being the best you you can be - the best father, mother, brother, sister, spouse, friend, coworker, neighbor, child of God.

Verse

For we are his handiwork, created in Christ Jesus for the good works that God has prepared in advance, that we should live in them. One in Christ.

THOUGHT:

Having faith does not give us a license to make unwise choices and expect God to save us from harm.

Challenge

God desires you to act in a Christian manner while here on Earth; if you don't, it may be to your own peril. Think about God before you act and let Christ’s example lead the way and you’ll make better choices.

THOUGHT:

As a man believes, so he will act.

Challenge

Show those around you today that you are a believer by your Christlike actions. Small acts of kindness and service to others go a long way. With Christ in your heart, you can make the world around you a better place.

Verse

Amen, amen, I say to you, whoever believes in me will do the works that I do, and will do greater ones than these, because I am going to the Father.

THOUGHT:

Gratitude…It turns what you have into enough.

Challenge

Take a little extra time each day thanking God for EACH of the many blessings He has given you. Then, watch the list of things you ask God for transform to things you really need.

Verse

All good giving and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no alteration or shadow caused by change.

THOUGHT:

God does not call the qualified to serve Him: instead He qualifies the called.

Challenge

God has provided you with all the skills and talents you need to serve Him. He is calling you TODAY. Listen through prayer and answer the call.

Verse

As each one has received a gift, use it to serve one another as good stewards of God’s varied grace. Whoever preaches, let it be with the words of God; whoever serves, let it be with the strength that God supplies, so that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom belong glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen. IV. Advice to the Persecuted - Trial of Persecution.

THOUGHT:

I don't know what the future holds, but I know Who holds the future.

Take comfort knowing that God holds your future. He has a plan for you. Pray to understand what God wants for you and from you. With that new understanding, live your best life and achieve your best future.

For I know well the plans I have in mind for you—oracle of the LORD—plans for your welfare and not for woe, so as to give you a future of hope.

THOUGHT:

Do not give the PAST the power to define your FUTURE.

Challenge

You are in TOTAL CONTROL of only one thing TODAY...And that is what you allow yourself to THINK about. Don't allow negative thoughts or regretful memories of yesterday spoil the joy and opportunities that lie before you today. THINK ABOUT GOD more often and He will strengthen your filter.

THOUGHT:

Failure is not the opposite of success. It is part of success.

Challenge

When you fail, do whatever it takes - Just don't give up! Get back up again. Overcome adversity. Find another road. Fight. Persist. Endure. Success may be just one more failure away! And if you need a little encouragement or direction, He is always there for you.

Verse

For I know well the plans I have in mind for you—oracle of the LORD—plans for your welfare and not for woe, so as to give you a future of hope.
