Often times we make light or feel guilty about times when we simply do nothing. Find time today to escape from your earthly To-Do List. Take some deep breaths and focus on 2 or 3 blessings in your life, then thank God.

When you only focus on yourself, it becomes very easy to misinterpret the value of your accomplishments. Ask God for the ability to be honest with yourself, and then it will be much easier to be humble to others.

It is not how much we have, but how much we enjoy, that makes happiness.

Challenge

True happiness is rooted in our relationship with God and the promise of everlasting peace. The worldly possessions will become much less important as you focus more on your blessings. Strengthen your relationship by Thinking About God more often today.

Tell the rich in the present age not to be proud and not to rely on so uncertain a thing as wealth but rather on God, who richly provides us with all things for our enjoyment. Challenge

Smile throughout your day. Acknowledge and think about the smile on your face or look in a mirror. Feel how a smile brings a little more joy and peace to your day and a warm feeling in your heart. Smiles are contagious; share your smile with others.

On days when things go smoothly, you may be unaware of God's presence. On days when things are rough, be on the lookout for God to be even closer to you.

It is in our nature to not think about God when everything is going well in our lives, but that is ok. He promises to be with you always, so when you are having a bad day, look for God to be even closer to you and let Him rescue you from your stress.

Success in a relationship is more than finding the right person; it is being the right person.

Challenge

God wants you to be the best you can be. Work harder to become the best person you can be in all of your meaningful relationships. Ask yourself today and every day: “What can I do to be a better person for those I love?”

Friendship is not a reward for our discriminating and good taste for finding one another; it is the instrument for which God provides comfort and love through one another.

Challenge

Christ who said to his disciples “You did not choose me, but I chose you” can truly say to every set of Christian friends “You have not chosen one another, but I have chosen you for one another.” Stay alert so you can recognize the people God is putting in your path.

Forgiveness

To be a Christian means to forgive the inexcusable, because God has forgiven the inexcusable in you.

Challenge

If someone has hurt you to the point that you have found it very difficult to forgive them, consider the tremendous love that God has shown to you by forgiving every wrong that you have ever done, or will do. Let this put your grudge into perspective and start working to forgive that person.
