God's Guidance

Posted on May 23, 2022

THOUGHT:

Relegate troubles to the periphery of your mind, so that God can be central in your thoughts.

Challenge

Focus on God and entrust your concerns into His care. Let God lead you step-by-step so He can guide you through each day.

Verse

Trust in the LORD with all your heart, on your own intelligence do not rely; In all your ways be mindful of him, and he will make straight your paths.

Wisdom

Posted on May 20, 2022

THOUGHT:

Your happiness is not correlated with your circumstances, rather your reaction to those conditions.

Challenge

Your circumstances may not be what YOU want them to be. Turn to the Godly wisdom within to find God's plan instead of yours. Accept your circumstances and live the best version of your situation.

Verse

Who among you is wise and understanding? Let him show his works by a good life in the humility that comes from wisdom.

Material possessions won’t make you happy … but everyone tries to find out for themselves.

For many things in your life, personal experience can be a great teacher. However, the best teacher of ALL things is Jesus. Find ways to make God a bigger part of your day, and His lessons will teach you the way to eternal happiness.

Action

THOUGHT:

I cannot stay where I am and follow God at the same time; responding requires action.

Are you waiting for God, or following Him? To follow God requires action. What steps can you take today to move closer to God?

But without faith it is impossible to please him, for anyone who approaches God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him.

Character

THOUGHT:

Goodness is about character - integrity, honesty, kindness, generosity, moral courage, and the like. More than anything else, it is about how we treat other people.

Challenge

You're looking at a brand-new day today. Spread goodness to everyone you encounter. Treat them with kindness, compassion, and encouragement. Mean it. Spread God's goodness far and wide.

[And] be kind to one another, compassionate, forgiving one another as God has forgiven you in Christ.

Forgiveness

Posted on May 13, 2022

THOUGHT:

There are times when a clear conscience is a sign of a bad memory.

Challenge

We all have done things we regret or would like to do differently, but that does not mean we should not try to clear our conscience. As a matter of fact, God encourages us to share our concerns and confess our sins to Him so that He can forgive us. Open your heart to God and let him clear your conscience so you can make better decisions today.

Verse

Confession and Intercession. Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The fervent prayer of a righteous person is very powerful.

Encouragement

Posted on May 12, 2022

THOUGHT:

Try to be a rainbow in someone's cloud.

Challenge

Next time you run into someone who is down, do you best to pick them up. It may be nothing more than a smile or a few words of encouragement. Whatever the case may be, show them that you truly care. With the guidance of the Holy Spirit working through you, you will add color to their day.

Verse

Therefore, encourage one another and build one another up, as indeed you do.

Faith

Posted on May 11, 2022

THOUGHT:

If you only believe when it's easy, you don't really believe.

Challenge

Life is not always easy. It is during the difficult times that our faith can be challenged. Talk with God daily so that when you encounter difficulties in your life, the strength of your relationship and your faith in Him will help you believe.

Verse

Jesus said to him, “Have you come to believe because you have seen me? Blessed are those who have not seen and have believed.” Conclusion.

Priorities

Posted on May 10, 2022

THOUGHT:

The bad news is that time flies. The good news is that you're the pilot.

Challenge

It seems we are pulled in so many directions that we often lose control of our time. Take hold of the controls and fly at the speed and altitude that allow God to guide you towards the things that matter the most in your life. This will eliminate a lot of the turbulence and allow for smoother landings.

Verse

The human heart plans the way, but the LORD directs the steps.

Morals

Posted on May 9, 2022

Every decision you make is a decision against something else.

How true. Make all your decisions based upon the word and example of Christ. May sure your "decision against something else" is always a decision to do the right thing.

Verse

So for one who knows the right thing to do and does not do it, it is a sin.
